Philosophy of Care 

Jordan is currently a Resident in Mental Health Counseling that has a passion for working with the LGBTQQIP2SA community. Jordan has worked to gain experience with the community since the start of her career, finding meaning in helping others live authentically. It is her mission within the therapeutic practice to offer a safe and affirming place to explore your story, enhance emotion regulation, and encourage you to the goals you set. Jordan’s clinical focus includes Gender and Sexuality, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Autism, OCD, PTSD, and Self-esteem. Jordan offers services to a wide range of clientele to include individuals, dynamics (kink related), couples (including polyamorous and ENM), and families. 

Jordan has gained her status through a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Psychology, then continued to acquire her Masters of Science in Education from Old Dominion University. Combined with the personal history of being raised in the LGBTQ+ community and having a passion for advocacy Jordan made the decision to become an LPC to create the space that was rarely given as she was growing up. If Jordan is not in the office she is usually off reading, going for a drive, or spending time with her partner and friends.

In her practice Jordan uses a host of evidence-based theories to adapt the modality to fit the clients needs. Jordan uses a combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy, EMDR, and Person-Centered therapy. Through these practices Jordan is able to assist clients with understanding and articulating emotional needs while broadening their distress tolerance through the cumulation of coping skills and emotion regulation.
