Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Supervisor
Overview
We seek a LPC Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outpatient therapy and be open to working with a variety of individuals, couples, and/or families. GGC takes resident supervision seriously and is seeking a supervisor who will balance seeing clients and supervising LPC residents. This position is primarily telehealth.
Duties
– Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
– Provide counseling sessions via telehealth
– Utilize therapeutic techniques to work with clients experiencing a variety of life challenges
– Meet weekly with a residents to discuss cases and develop skills
– Develop area(s) of specialty, ideally specialties in line with Growing Grounded Counseling’s current foci on gender-affirming care, trauma, ASD, and ADHD
– Work with individuals across different age groups, brain types, and cultural backgrounds
– Develop and implement the skills necessary to manage a full caseload
– Adhere to all American Counseling Association (ACA) ethical standards
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using appropriate terminology in TherapyNotes
– Maintain a schedule with a minimum of 25 hours open for counseling sessions and supervision throughout the week, including at least 5 hours of evening (after 5 PM) or weekend availability
Skills
– Possess a valid license as a LPC in Virginia
– Maintain an up-to-date approval from the Virginia Board of Counseling as an LPC Supervisor
– Commitment to working as part of the GGC team
– Possess a well-developed approach to counseling with area(s) of specialty
– Comfort and confidence in engaging clients via telehealth
– Establish clear and strong boundaries in the therapeutic relationship
– Sufficient understanding of the work of counseling to diagnose and work with clients
– Ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
– Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication
– Knowledge of direct support techniques for clients in need
Compensation
-Competitive pay as a W-2 employee, including pay for non-clinical hours

Resident in Mental Health Counseling (LPC-R)
Overview
We seek a Resident in Counseling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outpatient therapy and be open to working with a variety of individuals, couples, and/or families. GGC takes resident supervision seriously and expects residents to actively participate in individual and group supervision.
Duties
– Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
– Provide counseling sessions via telehealth
– Utilize therapeutic techniques to work with clients experiencing a variety of life challenges
– Meet weekly with a supervisor to discuss cases and develop skills in individual and
– Develop area(s) of specialty, ideally specialties in line with Growing Grounded Counseling’s current foci on gender-affirming care, trauma, ASD, and ADHD

– Completion of a CACREP accredited Masters Program
– Willingness to learn and commitment to grow as a counselor

– Establish clear and strong boundaries in the therapeutic relationship
– Sufficient understanding of the work of counseling to diagnose and work with clients
– Ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
– Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication
– Knowledge of direct support techniques for clients in need
Compensation
-$40/hour paid as a W-2 employee (paid non-clinical hours limited to one hour per 5 clinical hours; residents will be taught how to complete notes and administrative tasks within this time)
